where ya been?

people keep asking what i’ve been up to while not blogging and hanging out.  hmm…

finally got around to working on a wedding cross stitch for skfl and me.

got into caramelizing leeks and eating them right out of the frying pan.

spent a decent amount of time in the car listening to audiobooks.

i was making yogurt like crazy and putting on a few pounds (thanks whole milk).

and then there was the obsessive punching out and sorting of paint chip samples for a project phase.

most of my time was spent pressing on mae’s head because it feels so good (and she likes it).

  • Oh! Paint samples! I wondered what all those little colored dots you had in your apartment were from…

I’m also of the opinion that one should always spend copious amounts of time petting dogs.

  • oh mae! man do I miss your dog renee. i miss you and skfl too. I love the cross-stitch. Been wanting to get back into it and embroiderly myself. And sewing!

I want to visit at some point in the near future. I discovered the “Double Happiness” bus to Albany. It’s cheap! yay!

    hugs guys…m

jess, yes! and that “wreath” on the door is made from extra wedding invitations. i probably need to start a craft blog.

malvina, we wicked miss you! i hope you love your new digs. one day we will visit. does the double happiness go both ways? hee hee.

  • Mmm homemade yogurt!

Are caramelized leeks as good as caramelized onions?

  • renée

they sure are! give ‘em a try sometime. just be sure to give them a thorough rinse!

  • I have a yogurt maker but haven’t been able to produce something similar to fage, which I LOVE. Yours looks nice and thick, perhaps a blog post detailing your technique is in the near future? Or you can just start teaching yogurt lessons for which we will happily sign up.

  • charley, i will totally blog about the yogurt making process…someday. i think straining your yogurt is the key to coming close to the fage.

  • Renee, I thought you dropped off the planet. Love finding out what you’ve been up to.
