i revisited working with shrinky dinks last night and it didn’t go too well. i’m trying to make fun magnets to give away next week. why in the heck am i spending so much time doodling, shrinking plastic (with my head almost in the oven watching) and then photographing the results instead of calculating proportions and making a giant batch of chili? because i’m nene! (and my brain is on possible overload) i’ve got to come up with a different shape…

i was so excited to see this holiday ornament swap on the craft magazine blog today. now i’m trying to figure out what to contribute, if at all. it would be fun to make up some food themed ornaments to trade with random people.

the cooler temperatures are getting me jazzed about crafts again. it has been too long since i wanted to sit down and work on a project. the other day i whipped up a quick eye pillow as a gift for my sister. it was a last second production (even though i was planning on making it, time disappeared in the kitchen) and i didn’t take the time to snap a shot. i will make another one soon (for myself) and post a tutorial.

now i’m wondering if there should be a craft section on this blog. hmm. focus, renée! focus! it’s not easy to concentrate when there are so many adorable projects out there!
